DIY glitter polish!

Good day everyone!
So this is a really simple tutorial on how to make homemade glitter polish!
I think the most fun part would be step 1.) buying your favorite glitter. its best to use 3 different kinds - a chunky glitter, a fine glitter, and a pigment powder. go nuts!
Step 2.) Make a little funnel out of paper and pour 1/4 tsp of chunky glitter, 1/8 tsp of fine glitter, and "a pinch" of pigment powder into some clear nail polish.
Step 3.) Shake it up, and there you go! (Feel free to add more glitter if its too thin!)
Props to thebeautydepartment.com for this awesome tutorial!

8 Ways To Use Lemons For Beauty!

Good day all!
These are just some really simple ways to use lemon to stay beautiful.
Seems like the lemon is a super fruit!

I gotta give props to mythirtyspot.com for this article.

Fade age spots - Just apply straight lemon to the areas before bed and wash off in the morning with cool water. After a week or two, the lemon will have cleansed the skin and lighten the color. If you want an all over body treatment, just add 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice to your bath and soak for 20 minutes.

For brighter, softer skin use fresh lemon juice on any area of your body, including the knees, elbows, and face to brighten up and soften your skin.

Get Rid of Blackheads If you rub lemon juice on the area with your blackheads, it should make them disappear. Do this every night and rinse with cool water in the morning until blackheads are gone.

Make a moisturizing mask for dry skin by mixing equal amounts of honey, lemon and olive oil. Apply the mixture to dry areas on the skin and allow it to dry thoroughly for about 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

As a toner for oily skin, combine 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons vodka, 1 tablespoon distilled water, and 1 teaspoon witch hazel. Apply with cotton balls and rinse with cool water. If you store in the refrigerator, it should last up to a week.

To exfoliate dead skin cells rub a cut lemon dipped into a half-teaspoon of sugar over your face for a few minutes, or create a mild mixture by using lemon juice, sugar and a small amount of water. Do this every night to help remove dead skin cells and refresh your skin.

To make a lemon anti-wrinkle mask mix a teaspoon of honey, a few drops of lemon juice and a drop of sweet almond oil. Apply this mixture on the face and allow it to dry for 20 minutes and wash off.

Homemade Body Scrub!

Hey all!
Here is an easy recipe to make your own vanilla sugar body scrub!
I love scrubs. It's just a thing with me. And this one is awesome!

Here is what you'll need. :)

1 1/4 cups of brown or raw sugar
6-8 tablespoons of organic unrefined coconut oil
15-20 drops of vanilla essential oil (may be substituted with vanilla fragrance)

Directions:
If your coconut oil is solid at room temperature, briefly warm just enough to aid in the melting the process. Then in a small bowl combine your coconut oil and brown sugar, blending well enough to eliminate any lumps. Then add your vanilla essential oil to the mixture drop by drop, being sure to blend mix after each addition. Once mixed, scrub should be placed in an airtight container and used within six months. Apply your scrub to pre-moistened skin, being sure to massage it in using circular motions.

And there you have it! Amazing smelling body scrub to gift or hog. Your choice.

Pony Tails for Fall!

Good day all!
Today I would like to point out that Summer is pretty much over for us here in the states.
Crazy, right? Well kick off your Fall right with some cute ponytails!
An easy one to do, is to take a large barall curling iron and curl your whole head. Take some hairspray (I recommend Big Sexy Hair.) and lightly spray hair all over. VERY lightly.
Then run fingers through hair, and tighten with a scrunchy. Easy! a cute Autumn style to dress up or down with a sweater or coat :)

Lips for Fall!

So what's good this fall??
Mauve? I think so! This muted pink color is perfect for those warm cozy nights with family and friends!
There so many different shades of mauve, but my favorite is one with a slight sparkle to it!
You can find (almost all) the brands have a shade of lipstick in mauve.
MAC, Benifit, and Maybelline have awesome lipsticks!
Be sure to get your mauve on ;)

Review: Bed Head - Small Talk

Hey beauty junkies!
This review is about Small Talk from Bed Head.
This is a nifty little bottle that thickens and helps style your hair. (That's what it says on the bottle at least.) But what I personally use it for is to prevent split ends. This product will protect your hair from heat and damage, and all you have to do is apply a small dab of it throughout damp hair before you blowdry. Easy as pie.
Not to mention this also makes your hair smell like a grape Jolly Rancher. Yum!
Happy hair styling!

Trend: Two Toned Lips!

Two toned lips are a beauty trend that give lips a pop of color that could spice up any night. ;)
Now as you see by the top picture, this girl has two completely different colors on the tip and bottom lip. If that's what your'e aiming for, it might be rather difficult to pull off. Good for a quick pic for Instagram, bad for all day wear.
Now mixing them together and getting a cool contrast effect (like the ad in the middle), that is the trend.
Covergirl makes these awesome little devices called Flipsticks. One color on one side, one color on the other. The effect makes it look like you took an hour out of your day to perfect your lips, but in reality it is super easy! Get these Flipsticks at any drug store. :)

Does your man get razorburn?

So ladies, does your man complain of an uncomfortable and irritable face after shaving?
My guy does. I felt bad, so I had to do something about it.
Lush Cosmetics makes this awesome stuff called Ambrosia. Your guy puts it on before shaving, leaves it for a couple minutes, shaves, then rubs the excess into his face. Easy peasy. No more razorburn or little bumps. Its really worth the buy!

Sideswept and effortless

No matter what season it is, sideswept and effortless never goes out of style.
It really frames the face and just gives off a really sweet look.
If you are tired of your hair and want to try something new, ask your hair stylist for "sideswept bangs that are just below the eyebrow when dry, and long layers." Easy!

White eyeliner!

Hey guys! So, have you ever wanted your eyes to be a little bit more open, (or a little bit more flawless?)
Simple. White eyeliner. Makeup artists use this awesome trick to make the eyes appear more open and doll-like! great, right?
Apply on the inner corner of the eye and (sparingly) to the bottom lid. Your eyes will look more alert, you know, like you actually remembered to have coffee this morning.
Not to mention its high fashion!

Dramatic and simple

So, simple is better right? Not always. But in this case, yes.
There is so much drama and appeal to thick bold eyelashes and a nude lip. It especially works great with a fantastic foundation to smooth everything else out.
The lip doesnt exactly have to be nude, another great idea is a pearly shimmer lipstick. (Maybelline has these.) It is a very easy look to obtain. Go dramatic!

Hair Chalk

Alright, so what is this you ask? Well guys, this is hair chalk. It is a quick and easy way to add a little pop of color to your hair, without the harsh chemicals and the worry about it being permanent.
Going to a concert or party? Just glide this stuff on a piece (or a few pieces) of hair and there ya go! A fun new look that is only for the night!
Just ask your local beauty supply store if they carry these. i might go get some soon myself!

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter.

Let me just start off by saying that there are my new addiction. Yes, they are that good.
Its half lipstick, half lip butter.
Also known as, amazing. This stuff is insane. I'm actually wearing it right now.
I have never worn a lipstick that hasnt dried out my lips, or felt waxy and gross. This is the first time ive had something on my lips with great color, and feels like im just wearing chapstick.
So, I give it a 10/10. It's a fairly new product and definitely worth trying!

Royal eyes

Here is a fun idea for a great date night!
Kind of like a modern night owl Cleopatra! (I think at least.)
Be sure to use a good primer before applying the eye shadow!
Press some gold shadow on the center of your lid (Too Faced has some great ones!)
then press on some purple or indigo colored eye shadow around the edges and blend.
Then line the bottom with the purple and gold to make a real impression late at night!

Review: Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation

Here we are ladies and gents! My 3rd review!
For this review, lets take a trip down the cheaper path, shall we? I mean we can't always afford to buy Sephora and higher end products. Plus I like to buy in bulk at Target and Walmart. It's an addiction.
The product I am reviewing today is the Fit Me! Foundation from Maybelline.
Getting right to the point, his product is.. ehhh.. good on certain levels.
Coverage is great if youre looking for a light natural look. Not the caked on MAC products. (Yes, I said it.)
The issue is that by the end of the day, it looks as if you never even put it on to begin with. Even with powder on. Ugh!
So on that note alone, I can rate it about a 6/10. It's not for everyone. But worth a shot!

Review: Sephora chubby eyeliners

Good day everyone! So here is my second review on the sephora eyeliners. (The fat ones.)
I have been an eyeliner junkie my whole life. And by eyeliner, I dont mean just the black one you put on your bottom lid. Nooo, I mean the crazy, colorful, obnoixious ones you line all around your eyes.
Now this is an interesting little product right here, because its not a tiny pencil. It's thick. Making it oober easy to create a punky hardcore look. Or not. Whose judging?
Anywho, I've had some great luck with this pencil because it makes such a great effect when used right.
It stays on all day. That's the beauty of Sephora I suppose!
I rate this pencil an 8/10. Mainly because its a pain in the butt to sharpen, (you have to buy a special thick eyeliner sharpener!) and also because after having it about 7 or 8 months, if not used, it kind of dries out.
But I do recommend it!

Review: Lush Cosmetics - BB Seaweed

Hey guys! welcome to my first review. Exciting, right?? Well this review is on the BB Seaweed face mask from Lush Cosmetics. Lush is known for using natural ingredients in their products so you can have the best experience ever! (without hurting the environment of course.)
This face mask, on a scale of 1 to 10, I give about a 9/10. It works great! The only problem is that its so chunky and filled with seaweed, that its hard to rub it in to your face. Can't argue with the results though! You only have to leave it on for about 10 minutes, and you can actually feel it working.
Once I rinsed it off, I could instantly see a change in my skin. The purpose of this mask is to even out skin tone and redness. Well it worked! Especially on my naturally red facial appearance. Over all, great mask! Highly recommended!
